POST /api/v1/email/accounts

Scope write:email

Description

Creates address with password and an optional quota_mb (omit or 0 for unlimited). Set the quota later with set_mailbox_quota, the password with set_mailbox_password.

Body

Send as application/json.

Name Type Description
input string The MCP schema no longer offers input. Up to 255 characters.
address required string The full email address to create, e.g. [email protected].
password required string The mailbox password (minimum 8 characters). Whatever you pass here is shown to the customer on the action card automatically, behind a Reveal button — so do not repeat it in your prose, and do not call it temporary (it is the real password until they change it).
quota_mb integer Disk quota in megabytes. Omit for the default, or send 0 for unlimited. Range 0–1048576.

Responses

A 200 response returns the shape shown in the rail. Every non-2xx response is an RFC 7807 problem with a stable code.

Commonly returned errors

The codes this operation reaches on its own path: the auth stack, its own validation and ownership checks, and the transport. Not a closed set — a shared code from the full registry can still surface. Each links to the code’s own page, the same URL its type dereferences to.
