Description
Switches to version (e.g. 8.3) and confirms it by reading the version back — it will not claim success on an unconfirmed write. On a CloudLinux node the change goes through the CloudLinux PHP Selector and applies to the whole hosting account (every domain on it); elsewhere it is DirectAdmin's per-domain selector for the resolved domain only.

code.
Commonly returned errors
The codes this operation reaches on its own path: the auth stack, its own validation and
ownership checks, and the transport. Not a closed set — a shared code from the
full registry can still surface. Each links to the code’s own page,
the same URL its type dereferences to.
